I'm old enough to remember the rise of the gays and your comment takes me back to quaint days when normalcy was...normal. Gays just wanted to love who they loved in peace, no predatory intent, no nefarious aims of conversion.

I wish I could believe we've hit rock bottom but we still have further to slide.

Sure, even though the heroes are much, much worse than the most horrible villains in most of fiction there are plenty of even more over the top horrible and monstrous baddies in the setting.
