From Alister Crooke - "Giordano Bruno, the great Hermetic ‘thinker’ of his age, endured eight years of torture during which he refused to recant before, in 1600, being led out into the Piazza di Fiori (Square of Flowers), in Rome, and ceremonially burnt alive [by the Church]."

From Wiki - "He is known for his cosmological theories, which conceptually extended to include the then novel Copernican model. He proposed that the stars were distant suns surrounded by their own planets (exoplanets), and he raised the possibility that these planets might foster life of their own, a cosmological position known as cosmic pluralism. He also insisted that the universe is infinite and could have no center...Bruno's pantheism was not taken lightly by the church, nor was his teaching of metempsychosis regarding the reincarnation of the soul."

There have always been power brokers that derive their power from the populace believing the paradigm they prefer or manufactured, and rarely are these falsehoods actually good in any way for the common man, in fact the truth is what generally liberates the people. I suppose being cancelled though is a better option than being burned alive.

Again, a nice read. One thing I've learned as I grow older, now 75, is to "screen out" just about anything coming form so called "experts", and "intellectuals". And yes, I've self-isolated. As we used to say in my generation, "I've tuned out and turned off".

I've pretty much concluded the elites that make the laws, er rules, have pretty much taken us down the tubes beyond the point of no return (unless of course they get a serious kick in the ass and that means war). Let's face it our federal government is nothing but a 3 ring circus run by used car salesmen and clowns with a couple of side shows called MSM and the public school system. How easy this all could have been avoided if we would have just maintained the neighborhood school system which emphasized common sense and critical thinking skills.

I'm not affected by all the inane blather because I simply don't pay any attention to it. The TV has basically become useless. I've gone back to reading, mostly classic and history written and published before 1980.

One more thing, it's taken less than 3 years for "the Village Idiot" to destroy what was left of our Republic, and now he has put the icing on the cake as we will be forever stigmatize for aiding and abetting mass murder and war crimes. Thanks Joe, way to go. I'm sure you'll get even more than 81 million votes next time around.
